Benidorm
The night life is vibrant and thriving in Benidorm, one of Costa Blanca’s main attractions. Located about 45 km northeast of Alicante, Benidorm boasts a skyscraper skyline. Surrounded by up to 1558 m high mountains, the city is sheltered against the cold north winds. Benidorm weather is so pleasant, it does not go below 19°C in winter.
Summer time is party time on Benidorm’s sandy beaches. More than a thousand restaurants and over thirty discos prove that it is indeed the party place to be. Travellers are guaranteed many options for accommodation, with 35,000 beds in Benidorm hotels and over 200,000 apartments littered around the city. Today, a great bulk of the British and Irish community flock to Benidorm.
There are varied tourist attractions worthy of visiting in this vibrant city. Aside from beaches such as the Playa de Poniente and the Playa de Levante, there are other must-see destinations in Benidorm. Theme parks prove to be ideal for families, especially the kids. Golf courses also abound in this area.
Travelling around the city is most convenient by car. There are more than twenty local car rental companies offering services to tourists. The new Benidorm bus, transportation accessible from the airport, is also an apt way to see the wonderful sights of Costa Blanca’s party capital.
