Costa Blanca
The Costa Blanca, with its ragged mountainous interior and miles of glorious sandy beaches, is considered as one of the most visited regions in Spain, attracting millions of tourists every year. The horizons of the "White Coast" of Spain feature all types of attractions that range from Mediterranean and Moorish landscapes down in the valleys to the cosmopolitan stretch of beach resorts that dot the entire coastline.
The World Health Organization considers the Costa Blanca region as having one of the healthiest climates in the world with more than 320 days of sunshine and an average temperature of 22 degrees. No wonder foreigners, especially those from Northern Europe who have visited, have decided to never leave the Costa Blanca.
There are so many tourist attractions along the Costa Blanca that will keep your vacation interesting for days on end. At the holiday resort town of Benidorm, there is the entertainment park Terra Mitica. Benidorm is a thriving year-round tourist destination towards the Northern end of the Costa Blanca and is an excellent jump-off point for all sorts of excursions and day trips. Tourists can also travel to Villajoyosa just south of Bendiorm to experience its old town appeal and famous chocolate products.
The Costa Blanca starts in the north with the towns of Denia and Javea and ends in the south with the towns of Guardamar and Torrevieja.
