La Palma Real Estate
Also known as "the green island" and La Isla Bonita or "the beautiful island", La Palma is famous not so much for its beaches, but for its mountains and natural landscape. It lies on the northwest of the archipelago, and is said to be more similar to a Carribean island, with its exuberant forests and green-clad mountains rolling over oceans of sweet bananas and vineyards.
An island of volcanic origin, like the rest of the Canary Islands, La Palma offers hiking and trekking activities to adventure-seekers, as well as views from some of the greatest altitudes in the world.
Using three colours, La Palma could be described as blue from the surrounding sea, green from the abundant plant life, and black from the volcanic rocks in the landscape and the many small black-sand beaches on its coastline.
